My passion for web development grew out of my love of coding, and a love of modern web design drives me to try new technologies and platforms regularly. My work in higher education has led me to develop a focus on user experience, and my interest in making a clean and intuitive experience influences every line of code. Clean code makes clean pages.

Websites, custom php applications, digital signage, and more.
The current Sherrod Library website was custom-built to their design specifications and released in January 2015. After discussion with me about what could be improved, work began on a redesign to be released later this year. This site includes many custom-built PHP applications as well. Also at the Sherrod Library, I revived their digital signage presence which had fallen victim to years of neglect and was no longer in working order. This signage now requires less maintenance as I was able to tie the sign content into the content management system. I also lead a working group to revitalize library signage, including self-service room scheduling. Learn more about my digital signage efforts at the Charles C. Sherrod Library.
I set up, maintained, and leveraged Google Analytics during my time at the Charles C. Sherrod library to ensure that their website was putting user needs first. I gained my certification in Google Analytics in May 2015.
Also for the Charles C. Sherrod Library, I installed, managed, and fulfilled many tickets in the Web Help Desk system from Solarwinds. In addition, I integrated this with many external systems to allow easier troubleshooting and quicker response times.
My Life
I live in the beautiful hills of Tennessee with my girlfriend Sarah as well as our cat and dog. I enjoy hiking, cooking, strategy video and board games, and writing awesome code. The above image is of the Great Smokey Mountains (only a couple of hours from my house).
